Create, inspire, prevent!

Calling all young artists! The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Crime Prevention Team and YouthLink have partnered for the 2025 Crime Prevention Colouring Contest. This contest invites school-aged children to showcase their creativity while promoting important safety tips. Make a difference in your community by participating!

Who can participate in this contest?

The contest is open to all children and teens living in Calgary! You can participate if you’re in:

  • Grades K-6 (Elementary School)
  • Grades 7-9 (Junior High)
  • Grades 10-12 (High School)

While we love teamwork, this contest is all about you! Sorry, no group entries will be accepted.

Choose your theme!

Select one of these three themes for your poster:

  1. Personal safety: Staying safe when you’re out and about, like walking in well-lit areas or staying aware of your surroundings.
  2. Community safety: Keeping your neighbourhood safe by helping others, being kind, or reporting suspicious activity.
  3. Home safety: Protecting your home by locking doors and windows or using security measures.

Reflect on what safety means to you and how you can inspire others to stay safe with your poster design!
